Membership at LBC doesn’t afford you special privileges or land you a spot in a special pew on Sundays. It’s not about being part of a club or knowing a “secret handshake.” Becoming a member of our church family is simply about declaring LBC your church home – the place where you can learn, grow in your relationship with Christ alongside other believers, and commit to participation through service, fellowship, and attendance. It symbolizes your commitment to this family and the leadership of our pastors and elders.
The first step to becoming a member is to attend the one-time class called Explore LBC, where we explore LBC’s beliefs, bylaws, leadership, and ministries. A free lunch will be provided for your family and childcare is available. Explore LBC is offered three times each year on a Sunday at noon in LBC room A103. Sign up HERE for the next class.
Family Business Meetings
LBC holds church family business meetings three times per year. Important information and feedback is shared at these meetings, as well as the introduction of new members, elder candidates, staff, and church policy. Anyone is welcome to attend, but only church members may cast a vote on issues when called for.
Come be part of the action! Join us for the Church Family Business Meeting on August 25 at 12:30 in the Activity Center. Hear how our family has grown this year, see how we are doing as we close the fiscal year, and members will vote to approve the proposed 2019-20 budget for LBC. See you there! Click HERE for the Meeting Agenda.
Generally Accepted Accounting Reports (GAAP) for the 2017-2018 year are available by request in the church office. For questions, please contact Leonard Denney at email@example.com.
