HS Summer Camp – Wildwood

July 15-21, 2018

Wildwood is Hume Lake’s discipleship camp for high school students who know Jesus but desire to be pushed out of their comfort zone into a closer and more intimate relationship with God. Wildwood’s philosophy of stripping away the layers of falsehood and distraction is evidenced in daily quiet times, intentional activities, and in depth discussions about students’ lives, struggles, and listening to God’s call for deeper relationship with Him. Set in the back forests of Hume’s property, Wildwood emphasizes the practice of spiritual disciplines and learning to be life effective for Christ in response to the worlds challenges. WBS_WebsiteWomen’s Bible Study

Groups meet at church Wednesday mornings at 9:00 – 11:10 and Wednesday evenings at 7:00 – 8:30.

Each week we spend time with each other in worship with music and teaching, followed by small group discussion and prayer time. Whether you are brand new to studying the Bible or a seasoned veteran of time in the Word, Women’s Bible Study is a time to go deeper in your relationship with God and other women as we study together.

This year we are using the study guides, “Discerning the Voice of God” by Priscilla Shirer and “1 Peter, A Living Hope in Christ” by Jen Wilkin. Cost for materials is $30.

Our Wednesday morning Puppy Club program is a great place for infants through pre-k kids to learn and have fun while you are at Bible study. Come early your first day if you have kids to check in. Kids need to be pre-registered and a donation to help with childcare cost is appreciated.

Weekly Small Group Bible Study

We believe that one of the best places for spiritual growth is in a Life Group. These are small groups of LBCers that meet once a week, usually in someone’s home. It’s a little community, where we have fun together, pray for each other, discuss the scriptures from the Sunday sermons, and help each other when needs arise. Belonging to a Life Group is a way to connect on a more personal level than just saying a quick hello on Sunday morning. If you’re not a part of a Life Group, check out the table in the courtyard on Sundays or click HERE to get registered.
